The Chevronic Centre is renowned for quality restoration work carried out to your own specification and budget.
Unfortunately, we now no longer carry out full restorations on cars. We no longer have the facility to carry out welding projects, however we are very much carrying out recommissioning of vehicles. Please read our case studies for further information.
Len Day who started with Citroen in the 70’s has rebuilt more Citroens than most people could dream of. He fondly remembers the late eighties when he was replacing 2CV Chassis when they were only a couple of years old and the days when GS’s needed door bottom replacement before going onto the forecourt for sale.
Things have changed now with modern sealants, good quality paints and decent replacement panels made exclusively by Chevronics – rust can be made a thing of the past.
The main problem with general welding tasks carried out by garages is the metal is never protected correctly. Cheap welding jobs invariably end up with a coating of underseal over the bare metal, water then seeps into the weld and rust then starts to form.
At the Chevronic Centre we not only seam the weld joins but the seam is then sealed with polyurthane sealant on the weld and then the option is given to the customer to have a 2 pack stone chip guard over the painted panel for added protection. The newly welded panel will now be primed, painted and sealed on the weld and finally sprayed with the 2 pack sealant whilst the inside would be primed and waxed.
If you are considering restoring your GS or GSA why not consider Chevronic Centre for quality restoration, we have extensive knowledge on the Citroen GS GSA range – you will not regret it.
