Being the world’s largest specialist in the Citroen GS/A it felt right to hold a birthday party for the 40 year old car. We welcomed all to view demonstrations, learn about the dynamics of the vehicle and speak to fellow owners and enthusiasts.
On the 9th October 2010 at 10am G owners arrived and enjoyed what was on offer. Victor Brown, one of Chevronic Centre’s technicians, showed how to bench test a GS engine, and the removal of a GS driveshaft he also answered any questions that owners may have had about their car. The speech at Midday by Rob Moss was enjoyed by all and all there learnt why and how Rob discovered his true passion with the GS/A’s and why he took it upon himself to be the one to remanufacture parts to keep the cars alive and running well.
G supporters had the chance to enjoy the cars put on show (all owned by Rob Moss) to speak to the specialist technicians and to realise that the car they love and enjoy was actually enjoyed by so many others in the UK alone!
By 4pm the workshop was empty once again as the G’s went down the road in an exciting convoy to the Node Hotel for dinner, speeches, drinks and a photo shoot the following morning.
With great thanks to all who helped and all who traveled the distance and also for the wonderful thank you cards and letters. We enjoyed hosting the event and feel proud that most of the UK’s G’s kindly came to the event
